Remodeled Assessment Structure

Rapid changes the field of education is undergoing. The Central Board of Secondary Education, of late, has remodeled the assessment structure.

Till the last year, semester pattern was adopted by the CBSE Board, where the students were only assessed by the 50% syllabus which they studied in that particular semester. From this year, CBSE has called for 80 – 20 pattern by giving 80% weightage to the board examination.
The students will have to score at least 28 marks out of 80 marks to qualify the board exam.

This is a wakeup call to all the parents. Unless the students make rigorous efforts, scoring high in this latest pattern is not only difficult, but also very challenging.
I take this opportunity to advise the parents, to take personal care, in their wards’ preparation for examinations.
As per the guidelines of CBSE, the evaluations for Pre-Primary to Std. X were conducted as per the schedule given below:

Apart from the given evaluation schedule, the First Preliminary Examination for Std. VIII to X and the Second Unit Test for Std. VI have commenced from 8th January, 2018.
The Second Preliminary Examination for Std. VIII to X will commence from 29th January, 2018.
